    Today I was quoted £200 to refurb a polished alloy wheel so I thought sod that and have a go myself and get it done properly when it's scuffed really bad.

    Here is the scuff before I started.

    I used Dremel bits in a drill to smooth out the worst and then 400 grade wet and dry paper right up to 1200.
    Once it was smooth I polished it with Solvol Autosol and sealed it with lacquer.


    Here is the finished wheel, not perfect but good enough until it gets scuffed badly.

    Chris, that wheel really is bad but fixable.

    Did the damage happen recently as I don't recall noticing in Blackpool.
