Red face Are your nuts swelling.

Do you have to force a socket on to your wheel nuts?

As some have had problems with nuts sheering I thought I’d get mine changed before that happened. These are what I purchased, the difference being they are solid.

These are the old OEM Jaguar ones.

The chromed outer is a pressed on cover and this is what lurks beneath.

Entirely your choice as to whether you go for the solid aftermarket as I and others have done, or whether you go for OEM. But if you find your socket doesn’t slide over the nuts then it’s time to do something.

Hope this helps in your decision making process.

£35 for 20 is a no brainier for me anyway.

I do not offer advice, I only say what I would do with the set of circumstances presented. Your choice always.

That old nut Colin is 7 years old on a 22k mileage car.

Here are the ones I bought,

Perfect fit and still use a 19mm socket.

Just looked at the Link Jim. I put my car details in and got "This item doesn't fit Jaguar XK 8 2003 QDV [1996-2005] Convertible 4.0 XKR Convertible 3996ccm 375HP 276KW (Petrol)."

I like the idea though, as long as they are as strong as the originals.

You could also try his website Frank, though there is other suppliers.

Must admit Simon, quite shocked me too. Glad I’ve changed them to be honest.
