    Radio antenna goes up only 15 inches. 1990 XJS V12 convertible

    Greeting,
    the car still has its original radio. The antenna goes up when the radio is turned on. It just doesn’t go up high enough to get good reception. Any ideas for me to check out? Your help is appreciated. Thank you!

    When the aerial starts to go up, get hold of the top and help it on its way. You will find the mast is probably stuck. When you have it all the way up, thoroughly clean and lubricate the mast then try again.
