Probably time to bin it and call it a day I think. I've recently been made bankrupt so don't have the resources to throw at the car anymore.

I've ordered a new camshaft and crackshaft sensor, and a huge can of Quick Start. If this fails then it's off to the scrap yard I think.

as said if you haven't looked try the fuel cut off . my old van i changed the cambelt reconnected the battery and all it did was turn over , time for a cuppa go over what had been done on the engine , then another cuppa and a *** later thought may as well try the fuel cut off , as soon as i heard that click i knew i found the problem it fired up instantly . read a while later a guy hit a big pothole engine cut out after a tow to the garage again simple fuel cut off . at the same time check you have a live both sides of the switch they have been known to fail, not very often

This could be my memory playing tricks on me, but when I blanked the EGR valve, I have a vague memory of a little rubber hose on the back of the valve popped off. If it did (and I'm not 100% certain on this), but IF it did, I'm pretty certain I didn't reconnect it!? Sorry, but my brains playing a lot of tricks on me at the moment.
