    Flex plate removal

    Hi forum
Hopefully someone can point me in the right direction?
Just took delivery of my mk9 from the states, the engine is in bits
In the boot and I want to get the block up on my stand, but after removing the
Flex plate bolts it seems to be held on by two large rivets of some kind?
How do I get the plate off please?
Many thanks from newish member will post some pics of cars later
    Mk9 and xjs convertible

    Hello Bob,

I expect these are the dowels that ensure accurate location of the plate. It's easy enough to lever off a flywheel but I have never done an automatic. However gentle prising from behind as near to the crank as possible should get it off? It should not be too tight.
