    David Roe jaguar mk9 seat wood removal

    Hi i need to remove the wood and picnic tables from the back of the front bench seat in my jaguar 1960 mk9 for leather recovering can not see how it is attached.

    I just did this last year to repair the ball catch mechanism on the picnic tables. I have bucket seats, so I'm not sure how much of this translates. On the bucket seat, you would grab the wood trim at the top of the back of the seat and gently lift it straight up on both sides. That's it. Each picnic table comes out as a complete assembly: Open the table and you'll find two wood screws on each side of the box assembly that secures the box to the seat. Remove each of the screws, and the thing comes out. The top retaining screw on each side goes through the hinge assembly. See attached photos.
