    cruise control fail

    has any one got any idea i have a s type R 2007 and it keeps coming up on the dash cruise control unavailable ??? and when i try its correct no cruise control i just wondered if this would be an easy fix or is it a trip to the doctors lol

    Most likely cause would be the brake pedal switch and you need to be a contortionist to test it.

    Possibly steering wheel control switch mine wouldn't engage but no warning on dash changed switch pack and all good... 5 minute job
    2004 STR in Midnight black ,charcoal/cranberry trim.

    Another possibility is the steering wheel 'clock spring' ?

    Mine is faulty and symptoms include occasional airbag light on but also 'cruise not available', especially if I have been applying lots of steering lock whilst parking or similar.
