X Type Jaguar V6 2003 fuel guage problem

i AM TRYING TO CLEAN UP MY FUEL SENDING UNIT. I BELIEVE I CAN GET TO IT BY REMOVING THE
BOOT CARPET AND SPARE WHEEL. ON THE FLOOR PANEL THERE IS SUPPOSED TO BE AN ACCESS O RING TO REMOVE
IN ORDER TO TAKE OUT THE FLOAT ASSEMBLY AND RESISTOR BOARD.-
FROM WHAT i CAN SEE THERE ARE FOUR POSSIBLE ACCESS POINTS - TWO WITH BLACK SOFT RUBBER RINGS AND TWO WITH
METAL ONES. CAN ANY ONE TELL ME WHICH IS THE CORRECT ACCESS POINT FOR THE SENDING UNIT ??
THE REASON I AM DOING THIS IS THAT MY PETROL GAUGE IS REGISTERING FULL ALL THE TIME.

Hi Ray, NO NEED TO SHOUT

You'd be better putting this in the dedicated X Type forum here:

2017 XE Portfolio 180PS AWD in Santorini Black with climate pack (I don't scrape!) panoramic roof, privacy glass and 19" style 1015 wheels (that I'd happily swap for a nice set of 18" 5 spokes. Anyone?)
