I don't think it's possible , might be wrong but if it's anything like the system Volvo uses then it needs a code to enter the keys software. This code is supplied with a new key and is destroyed once the key and car has been matched for security Hence second hand keys that are on ebay etc are useless. If you can do it then anyone can and car is a target for thieves. Volvo resisted the EU directive to make all programming available to any garage hence the large number of thefts of German cars . Hopefully Jaguar resisted as well ? Please let us know what you discover.
Maybe You should consider acquiring JLR SDD with compatible cable and software included, because, from what I saw, it includes key programming option, the price will be competitive with your selected solution, but you will get far more functionality, if you are tempted to go DIY path with diagnostics and coding of your car.
