Welcome to the S-type forum

I guess I better start this forum off on a positive note

I've got a '99 S-type 4.0 V8. It's Emerald Green and done 54,000 miles.

I was very fortunate finding this particular car as it's loaded with options and below average miles. As with all S-types of this age, it's had a new gearbox !

Sat Nav
Premium Sound
Cats suspension
17" sports wheels
Voice Activation
Winter Pack (heated memory seats, seated screens)
Integrated Phone
External Folding mirrors
Rear Blind
Electrochromatic rear view mirror
Rain Wipers
Auto Lights
Entry and Exit mode
Memory seats
Electric Sunroof

I'm due to keep this car for a year, until I am certain of my movements in the near future. There is a possibilty that I might be relocating to the USA, so I am reigning in my expenditure for the time being. If I am staying put, then I'll upgrade to an "R" asap !

Ok, your turn. Tell us about your car and yourself !

02, 61,000 miles
Zircon blue
4.2 supercharged
Cream / black two tone leather
plus lots of other stuff, too long to list, but no sunroof, PDC or sat nav.

First Jag i've owned, previous owning M3 Evo, and other cars i'd rather not mention.

Sounds loverly. Pics would be nice!

Two-tone interiors are awesome. My last Beemer had a yellow/black interior and looked great.

My Jags all black interior looks a little dowdy by comparison.

A few pics. I've since fitted a mesh grill, which makes a huge difference to the look.

Car appears black in these photos due to my crappy camera, but is actually greeny/bluey type colour, depending on sun and angle of viewing.

S type pics

Peter

Car looks fantastic.

How do ya keep it so ****** shiny? Looks like new despite being a '99.

I've been trying to work out from the FAQ how to post pics on replies. I can do the usual BTYahoo album thingy but I don't think that's gonna work.
Do you need your own web space or is there another way?

Looks great. Bodywork looks really silky smooth.

I use Zymol wax and car wash which is a bit pricey but gives a good finish.

Would be interested to know what you use

You can tell I am a bit out of touch with this forum thingy! I have placed a reply to you in my original message. Do you remember you said you would try to find out about reversing sensors on your CD Fische
Do you know how the head lining centre console is fitted? Thought I'd have a meddle. If you go to my original posting you will see a message to you there.
We are away on Thursday for a week. If you can help I'd appreciate it.

Oh by the way I saw a programme on TV a couple of days ago. I think it was about a footballer by the name of grimley, a drama. In the back ground of one scene was the stadium in the photo of your Jag. You are now famous.
Well you might already be famous. You will be if you can solve my sensor problem

Thanks for the kind comments.

Shiney bodywork is the result of me writing a cheque The guys at www.carwashers.co.uk do a great job of cleaning up a car and returning it looking like new.

Pics need to be hosted somewhere online, ie somewhere on the www where the pic can be viewed by anyone without haveing to enter users details and password. I just FTP my photos onto my webspace I rent off a provider. Cheap as chips and very straightforward.

Once you have them hosted somewhere, then just copy the URL and paste it between a bit of simple code... and

There's no spaces in the actual code, I just included them so the code shows as text.......

I use a credit card or cheque.

I can't take the credit for the immaculate appearance of the bodywork. The valeters I go to are awesome... expensive, but fantastic results.

Yanno, I haven't looked at the 'fiche yet

I've not actually been home that much in the last couple of weeks, and I feel guilty for not looking. However I have a much less busy schedule this week and shall endevour to look.

I promise.
