Dear Frank, I’m feeling left out from the ‘Green Shower’ community. I have a 97 coupe - can you suggest anything???Click image for larger version.

Hmmm turn your car the right way up and use a tin opener? Nice looking car too, even sideways.

Thats the thing with these cars there is always something to do. Did you, or anyone else, spot the link at the foot of each of my postings? "Index of Franks Story" It links to an index where you can browse and see if there is anything on there that may be able to help you.

On a serious note one of the best things I did to my little car was change the headlight bulbs. Hi and Low beam. Such a difference. Will see if I can find the link.......... Here you go https://www.jaguarforum.com/showthre...=1#post1025402

Thanks Frank, I’ve seen the index and read the thread from Page 1 to here! Better than many novels, full of unexpected twists. Fortunately I’m very lucky with mine - it’s clean, tidy and rust free (even the bolts along the front of the engine bay) with minimal effort from me in the 8 months of ownership (so far.....)

Nice one. Yours does look like a nice car. You have some stamina to read from page 1 to here! Probably have you to thank for boosting the viewing figures by 426+ page views!

Your post HuntyXK8 inspired me to update the index. Until I started it I myself had not appreciated how much work I had done since March 2017. Still got 150+ pages to go!

    (small disaster)

Just left the garage and the **** door would not shut properly. Not the best weather for standing out in, cold and windy. So I opened up the garage door again............... bear with me.

When I got the waist seals back from the failed manufacturing attempt I thought one of them needed cleaning and a respray. So into the garage it went. Sandpapered. Cleaned. Sprayed and I left it on top of something to let it dry whilst I was away in London. Still recovering from the bug and sleep deprivation, hence the 3 am post about the half million. Went out to the garage to get something quick. As above the garage door would not shut. Dam! As I said I re-opened the door to find the waist seal had slipped off the box it rested on whilst it dried. Got stuck in the door. Thats why it would not shut. Its bent the strip to an almost 90* angle. So straightened it as much as I can and left the worst bit squeezed into the vice to straighten it. Fun isn't it?

A strange feature of the internet is that the original photo, and the quote of it, are sideways on my Mac but the right way up on my iPhone & iPad. How does that work?
