    Ok. Progress so far.

Ordered pump online, complete with electrical adaptor. From what I have read on other forums etc the new pump is a upgrade on the original. Performs better and is more reliable.

Booked car in for Monday 13th.

In the meantime I have made it a little quieter by stimulating repetitive vibrational mild input. When I told the garage I had 'adjusted it' to make it quieter he said "did you hit it with a hammer?". Someone knows me!

There is a theme developing to your posts. You knew about the *** festival near me before I did and you think a hammer is a *** toy. Sure you were not born in Wales?

Not as far as I know. But anything is possible!

New supercharger/intercooler pump arrived today. Very quick. Only bought it yesterday. Complete with electrical adaptor. So just got to get out to the car and get everything loose and sprayed for the garage. I like to make things as easy as I can for them. My problem is stopping myself from actually fitting it!

    Making the job easier.

Just could not resist it. Sun shining. So I went back out this afternoon and removed the bits I only put back on yesterday. I also removed some extra bits. The actual air filter box etc.

So same as yesterday plus a couple of extra bits.

So once removed I was quietly surprised how much easier the supercharger/intercooler bracket was to access. It looks like I, I mean they, only have to remove two easy access bolts to remove it, plus the pipes and electrics of course.

So gave the area a good clean. Sprayed the bolts with WD40. Got out the minor socket set. Loosened both bolts. Cleaned up the area.

The two arrows are pointing to two location holes into which lugs on the bottom of the air filter box fit.

Its dead obvious when its out but I tugged and pulled in all directions to lift out the filter box. It felt like I had missed a nut or something as it would not budge. Now you can see it only takes minor movements to get the lugs to clear the holes. May save someone scratching their head over this.

So all the electrical connections cleaned and greased to make them easier to remove, especially the MAF connector. Should make the job much easier for the garage.

Almost forgot to mention. Since I removed everything and loosened /re-tightened the nuts on the cooler pump the &**&^ has gone quiet again. Still going to replace it though.
