My advice: First remove yours to see what is the exact problem!

If you need one you can get the whole mechanism from ECP, still 30% off today using the same code.

If you can't get it in time you can raise the glass and wedge it closed temporarily.

There are videos on YouTube on how to get the door trim off, it's dead easy but note where the screws are first.

Euro Car Parts also have them, £154 for mine.

Today you get 30% discount with code SALE30 if you buy online at www.eurocarparts.com

Here you go, it's all in this thread already.

Euro Car Parts are suppliers of... Car parts... in the UK.

There are others too, like Motor Parts Direct, and Unipart, and they are known as "Motor Factors".

I don't know exactly why. In Maths we know factors as components of a number or formula. So there may be the answer.

Click on the link I gave you and put in your registration (if your car has a UK registration number) or select your car manually from the options, then look in "Shop All Departments" for "Body and Exhaust", then "Window Regulators and Winders".

They have the left and right front mechanisms but not the back ones.

The discount code is still active.

Are you not in the UK, since you don't know of them? Where are you located?

Great, so there should be an ECP not far from you, but they deliver anywhere too.

See if you need one first.

If its your daily driver just change the whole unit. The David Manners one on TT`s link looks about the right money.Otherwise you may have the door stripped down for however long it takes to get parts.Doubt anyone will sell twopenny parts so just put a new unit in and job done.

if the motor is ok, repair kit for slides and cable is ~£10-£12. Couple of hours work.

Hi, I have now started on my Jag window repair, feeling along the bottom inside the door I have found a small piece of plastic and found it belongs to the forward slider, but there is a cable attached with a spring and I am not sure how to detach this cable from its plastic slider housing, the plastic slider where the cable enters is sealed, so can anybody tell me what to do next?

You need to get the Mech out. it's 5 10mm nuts from memory plus the two bolts that clam the glass. There are two inspection holes for the glass clamps which you have to lower the window to get lined up if you can't lower the window then you will have to fiddle with a spanner to get to the bolts.
