    Battery voltages:
    12.65...100%
    12.45...75%
    12.24...50%
    12.06...25%
    11.89...0%

Is the Cruise you have normal or Adaptive, as far as I know they changed to Adaptive Cruise as an option on later Cars, just wondering if ASL was included, though there is no mention of it in any of the Brochures or Handbooks, I know other Jaguars with ASL have a switch beside the Gear Shift, in those Cars Cruise won't work if ASL is switched on, just wonder if a previous owner has fitted a Cruise system from the XF, though ASL systems normally have a knurled setting wheel on the Steering Wheel Controls, or perhaps the wrong Module has been fitted at some point.

Rule of thumb - Each cell is at 2.1 volts when fully charged, and there are 6 cells. So 12.6 volts-ish as per Doug's info above. If it's less than 12 volts it's bad, or has been steadily discharging through the winter if you are doing short trips it won't have time to recharge properly.

People think car charging systems are magic - they aren't, they need help sometimes.

So if you are doing short trips, stick it on a mains charger overnight, 12 hours if possible, and then see how it goes after that.

But if you are doing long journeys then still charge it overnight to check it out, but it may well be duff.

Had the same problem recently, and when it went in for service, they said no faults found, and did not know what it was, but left if for a couple of weeks, and it fixed itself, and been perfect since, I did not attempt to use the cruise during that period, then on way to work tried it, and it worked perfectly

Well I managed to engage cruise at 120mph once in Germany, with a S Type R.

I think from memory it wont engage above that? I will try soon when I come home for Easter and report back. I think 120's the limit.

How often someone would get to engage cruise above that is beyond me.
