Well thank you for all the past effort put into this modification. I can see that it is well thought out.
I’ve started on the Jagdroid conversion and am still waiting on parts to do the touchscreen updates, however I have got as far as doing the CD player modifications.
Some of the things I’ve learned is that a good quality fine tip soldering iron is needed for this mod. I managed to lift a couple of pads off the boards by using an older iron. Anyway once I got hold of a better tool I was able to repair the errors and get things working.

Well nearly working. The external SPDIF feed isn’t behaving at the moment with just noise when I connect it to the odroid C2 SPDIF output and ground. Not sure whether it is the odroid or the CD player mod at the moment. Sound from the CD is good and the A-MEM switches the relay. I have no convenient way to isolate between the two as my only SPDIF output is the odroid and my only input is the modded CD player.

There are a couple of questions that perhaps someone has come across.

Does the odroid C2 always output sound on the SPDIF? Even when no HDMI is connected?

In the Jagdroid instruction it is a bit unclear on the SPDIF connection because the circuit diagram shows the main board going to relay common and the board on the CD mechanical mechanism going to NC. However the photo instruction shows the common going to “CD transport”. I’ve connected the relay common to the bottom main board. Is this correct?

Yes I believe you get SPDIF output without the HDMI connected.

If you are talking about the photo here: https://lh5.googleusercontent.com/ik...6M1XVgz_J=w572 then it shows the Common going to the ribbon cable (on the main board) as per the schematic.

Not quite sure why you are getting noise, it might be worth checking that the tape isolating the ribbon cable pin is covering the pin correctly, and not and letting the two signals clash with each other?

Thanks for the suggestion, I'll have a look at the tape or perhaps remove the cable entirely just for a test.

I couldn't access the image link that you provided, so I'm not sure what it shows?
I was using the webpage https://sites.google.com/willcoxonli...-player-aux-in and the 29th image.
The image I was referring to was this one:
    https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/Eo...D7TDp3ql2=w572

My relay has the common on in the centre between the NC and NO. The image seems to show CD transport on the centre pin.

Your relay has different pin-outs, the one I link to in the parts list is this one: https://cpc.farnell.com/omron-electr...vdc/dp/SW03294 which has the common pins closest to the coil.

    Thanks Ben for the pointers.
I have finally got the CD-player mod finished with the audio working.
It ended up being a poor quality RCA cable between the odroid and the CD-player. However, I had to find an scope to finally track it down.
Now I have buetooth audio (via the odroid) coming out the speakers with the CD-SPDIF switching all seemingly to be good. Thanks again for the work you did on this, the sound is great.

The final parts are dribbling in for China, so I'll be able to start on the touchscreen mods soon.

I have another question. My unit is a TV unit, so I have the four coax cables at the back of the headend. I was wanting to fit the DAB+ module and was thinking I may be able to reuse one of the existing TV antennas for that. I checked the DC voltage going to the existing active antenna, it was 12V, while the DAB dongle uses 5V. I was thinking of using a DC block and then injecting 12VDC to the existing Jag antenna. (Or maybe first trying 5V to see how it goes.)

I'm unfamiliar with the connector type used for the Jag TV antenna, anyone know what type it is?
Anyone else tried re-using the in-built TV antenna/s?

I have finally got all the touchscreen components, finished the assembly and started to debug.

Most things seem to work, however, the brightness control is a problem for me.
The arduino sketch version 3.2 sets the output on D13 to either HIGH or LOW.
LOW in jaguar mode and HIGH in arduino mode.

However for me, a HIGH on the modified RTD brightness control turns off my screen completely. Thus no display in arduino mode. If I remove the connection from D13 to the RTD then the display behaves correctly.

Do I have a mismatch between the sketch version and the RTD modification or should I be looking for an error somewhere else?

Which wiring diagram have you used to build your system?
There is no PWM brightness control in sketch version 3.2, it's too old.

I would recommend wiring to version 4: https://sites.google.com/willcoxonline.com/jagdroid-v2/ and use Sketch v4: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1GW2...ew?usp=sharing

    Thanks for the link Ben.
I used the circuit you referenced but the only sketch I could find was here https://jaguar.willcoxonline.com/part-2
Hopefully better results with the newer file.
    Thanks again.
