Back in the spring I had my 2007 XKR air-con re-gassed/recharged. It was a mobile outfit that came to the house and did my daughter's car (2014 Fiesta) and my XKR
Last week when it was scorchio for once in the North East, I had the air-con on full (LOW) and I was melting in...
My aircon has been perfect up untill yesterday when it just stopped blowing cold. The compressor is engaged but the coolent pipes at the back of the engine compartment are both hot, instead of one hot and one cold. Any ideas what could have failed please?
Air conditioning systems and refrigerants are now under strict regulations so it's important to know about refrigerants and methods and warnings for car air conditioning systems.
The way in which car air conditioning systems work is described quite well here...
Clutch is engaging, full of 134a, fan is working, blend doors are working...... However, i still don't have cold air. Any suggestions or experience with this? 04 xtype 3.0 awd automatic with auto climate control.
Hi, I have a 2005 S Type 2.7 diesel with an aircon problem. The heated side of things seems to be working well but when I want some cold air I just get a luke warm air flow. When I last had the system re-gassed I was told there was a leak and the condenser needs replacing. So, I have obtained a...
[Resolved] X-Type Heater/Blower Fault
Hi chaps, very quick question.
Is the heater/blower one unit? Or is there a heating coil(?) separate to the blower module?
As I'm sure you've all felt it, Winter is Coming.
After only a few minutes with the heater and fan speed on full-whack, the fan...
Hello Fellow E-Type Owners,
I am restoring a 69 2+2 that I got from my father when he passed away. Almost done. Was working on the factory air conditioner and decided to take the control apart to make sure I understood how it worked and map out the function. Turns out there is a set of...

Thanks again for everyone who has given me advice, working out issues with my STR. My newest issue is now the air conditioning system. The person I purchased the car from said he had all new a/c lines installed and a/c serviced. Lines are obviously brand new as they are perfectly shiny and clean...
I have recently bought a 2002 sport. The air con didn't work, so I had it re-gassed. All was good, for a couple of weeks, then over night it stopped working. I've checked the fuse, and the low pressure, both are good. Has anyone any suggestions?
Hi, I have a Jaguar XF and I rarely use the air con. However, Lately I have had a need for it but it has stopped working. I took it in for servicing and I was told that there isn't
any leaks. Could there be a different reason for this to happen?
Hi Al.l Had my S Type for two years now with no problems, not bad for a 2004 car. Then a air con valve went and fried the controller. Got that fixed at a very good local independent Jag specialist (thanks Darrel at LJS in Lincoln) but then needed a radio code, saw one of your posts which...
I've also posted this on my "Picking up the car on Thursday thread" but I thought it was worth bringing up here.
BAZarus' auir con hasn't worked since I picked him up over 3 years ago. When I rang around local garages and aorcon specialists they either didn't want to touch him or they wanted to...

Air Conditioning works fine unless the weather is warm (ext temp >20 degrees) AND the engine is hot ( normal running temp). Then it works well for the first 15-20 minutes then switches out altogether.
Tried so far
Re-pressurised system - all fine no leaks
