    I have a 2011 XJ that has started to leak oil. The oil leak must be up high, like the valve cover gasket? Wherever the oil starts, it drips onto the alternator, and the alternator spreads it around. I've had the car on jack stands running and you can't see the leak. Are leaking valve cover...

    I am in the market for an X-type, I just had one inspected by a mechanic, and they say it's in good shape, but for two things. One is that the valve cover gasket has a "light" leak. I'm waiting to get a cost estimate tomorrow, but even if it's not too expensive, or even if the seller pays...
