Hi all, my passenger seat all of a sudden won't recline. No noise when you use either the actual button or the memory. Every other function is working. Is there any thing obvious I can check? Thanks in advance

Fuses are in passenger side footwell, remove and replace. This sometimes resets the module that controls this function. Otherwise it’s checking under the seat for anything obvious to start with.

Thanks Ian, unfortunately fuse position FP14 which should be a 20A is empty and all the seats are working apart from the passenger seat recline function. I had a look at the rear fuse box but couldn’t see anything about seat movement. Any ideas? Thanks, Graham

Excellent news and thanks for the update, all the better when it’s cheap and easy.

Ok something funny is now going on. I don’t know if it’s related but now the passenger side indicators are playing up, the passenger side led headlight fails intermittently and an active dynamic failure message has come up and I couldn’t use any of the modes. Active dynamics fault has not come back since I shut the car off and drove it again. Indicator failure also intermittent. the Last time I drove it before all this started I hit a very high kerb which brought the whole car to an instant halt, minimal damage which is being fixed in the next 2 weeks. Related? Any ideas? seems a big coincidence to get all these sudden failures and it’s been perfect for 2 and a half years. Thanks

Well looks like I’ve sorted the issue. I checked the battery and that was fine but then I checked the relay box under the bonnet and reseated all the relays and the headlight and indicators are all working. Early days i’ll post again if the problem comes back of if it’s fixed.
