Bought 2004 stype 2.7 d 1st Sept 2017 74500mls decent price maybe a little over the top for yr but history & mls good. Serviced it (although only done 3k since last) & thought with the age of it although not the miles i had timeing belts done. Anyway just had a 12day away on Holiday 4 days Dorset & 7 days In Brittany thought I`d take the chance with S type although have perfectly good 12yr old X type. Any ways all good 1559miles mixed running & the last 360 mls done from Portsmouth to North east in just over 5hrs returned a nice 39.9 overall, The old car just seems to float along plenty poke did`nt bother using sports mode or manual apart from a couple of downhills it accelerates quick enough for me. Just thought I`d post this positive post when not a lot on here are, you get a lot of car for not much money, love it but yes auto nice but still a manual man at heart.

Glad you like it. I had a manual Sport model for 4 years and over 80,000 miles. Replaced it with an XF S diesel which is nice enough, with pros and cons compared to the S-type. Better ride quality in the S-type for sure. Had more confidence in the handling too.

All beauties Greek.

It's that blasted feminine shape, always wanted an original S Type but thankfully managed to own our Catwoman.

So all good.

Now I'm hanging on to our Prado.

These new fangled "car" things just don't pull my attraction. Not one.

I've even got a tiny soft spot for our 1992 Camry. It's got a bonnet, cabin And a boot!

That's what All cars should have as a basic! :):):)

Keep us posted of your exploits and day trips, it would be great.
