Hiya davey,
In regards to trying this out yourself, the best bet is to go to your local spray guys and find out what they are going to charge to do this. You may find its not as expensive as you think and may involve alot more than you thought. Getting those lines back to the orignal shape takes years of experience. And also, regarding the spraying, unless you have a compressor and a good quality air gun, you wont get the best finish using a can.
For something like a front quarter, full respray, is around £60-80. With a little bit of work to the panel you could be looking at £100-£120 max. You would also get a bit of discount for more panels. Say £300-350 for 4 panels.
Sorry i couldnt give you the answer you were looking for.
