Anybody tried fitting this kit to an earlier model? I have 2008 MY XKR.

Thanks

No. The aerodynamic pack. Larger rear spoiler, front lip for the nose and also managed to pick up an xkrs 2008 rear valance. Pretty certain the rear spoiler will fit. The rear valance will definitely fit, but I don't think the front lip will fit as it is for 2010 MY. Not a huge problem as the seller will buy back the lip. I just wondered if anybody had tried fitting them. XK60 kit is XK only with perhaps the sills excepted..

Would also appreciate any tips and hints on hoe to replace the rear spoiler if anyone has done so. :)
Well, after much deliberation I've decided to do nothing. What on earth was I thinking.... the XKR doesn't need any additional kit tacked on to it unless it came with that kit in the first place.

Solution: part exchanged it for a 2008 XKR-S, subject to inspection and test drive. Hope to pick it up next weekend.

I actually prefer the 2008 XKR-S styling to the 2012 model. With only 50 RHD models being produced how the devil did you find that rare beast and have you any pics?

I agree. I much prefer the 2008 styling. There is no doubt that that the 2012 XKR-S is a phenomenal car in terms of performance but I feel that, visually at least, it has lost the Jaguar 'Elegance and grace'.

2008 models are not that difficult to find, I've seen 5 for sale this year, mind you, you could pick up a decent 2009 5.0L XKR for around the same price so they don't sell quite as quickly as you might imagine.

Defintely a head turner, though. makes a standard XKR appear 'ordinary'..if that's possible.....

Hi Paul

I do agree, the new XKR-S 2012 is far to NASCAR for me. Here's my XKR-S 2008 with the rear lights upgrade.

Nice pix...very nice.
Richard do you know if those rear lights fit all xkr models? Mine is 2006.

Yes they do, I've just bought a set for my 2007 and will be having them fitted soon. You also need to buy a special wiring loom that converts the old system to work with these LED lights....along with a good auto electrician to fit them.

*EDIT*
Adding a post by another forum member giving info of his LED light conversion:

Thanks Richard,

Nice Phots. perfect setting for a Jag...

Yes, I do like the upgraded lights. One for my shopping list :) Did you use the Adamesh conversion kit exclusively?
