Another Newbie!

Hi,

I agreed to purchase my new car last night so joined the forum about 1 hour later. I'm getting a 58 plate 2.2 diesel x-type estate in bright blue (my first blue car). I've got some questions already but hopefully the forum will help out there

.

Question 1; Can anyone give me the part number for the direct replacement K&N panel air filter for the car (2.2 diesel 2008 year model) as I can't find it on the K&N website (etc), but surely they must do one for the 2.2Tdci Duratorque engine?

Question 2; Recalls - I'll be trawling the forum for these.

Question 3; Is there a list of recommended non-francise Jag specialist garages on the forum?

Hi Chris congratulations on your new car and welcome to the forum!
There is a section which probably lists just about any indy in the country in the Jaguar Maintenance and Servicing section here http://www.jaguarforum.co.uk/f24/.
If you cant find one post the question there and someone will likely help out.
Regarding the K+N you're better off asking in the X Type section where you will get a better response as this area is only for member intros.

Hello and welcome should be no problems with the K&N air filter i got one for the petrol 2.5 off e bay

Evening folks. Ok so it seems that K&N don't do one for the 2.2 diesel. The air box is a different shape from the Mundane-o's, so that won't work either. However! adamesh.co.uk do a green cotton one for the 2.2 diesel! Success
