Anti roll bar bushes - best options

2379 Views 7 Replies 5 Participants Last post by  Billy2Jags
Hi I am going to replace the rear anti roll bar bushes on 56 plate 2.0d x type. Im being advised that only genuine Jaguar bushes will do as anything else will not be as good or not last long. Has anyone had joy with any particular brand of bushes they can recommend ? Ive seen poly block bushes advertised but no reviews. Im basically Looking to save expense if possible but not buy something that will fail quickly. Please let me know your thoughts

Just had mine done - went with Jag parts Hatfields (posted and packed well...) on bay of fleas...
Just out of curiosity, if anyone has done this job, is it straight forward(looks to be?), as I have a 'clunk' on passenger rear which I have concluded is most likely to be this/droplinks. Thanks.
Easiest way is to remove the ARB complete and change droplinks on the bench.
Put a penny washer or a 2p behind the bush when bolting back to car.
As Billy 2 jags says, I did mine that way. I fitted new links and bushes, all the nuts and bolts came out easily enough greased them all back up when re-fitting just in case I ever had to change them again. I didn't use genuine parts, no problems at all.

Thanks I contacted and ordered a set from Hatfield. Hopefully they will be durable as when they go they dont half make some racket :-D

Hi do you have to glue these into position as per picture ? The guide I found states using loctite retainer which i'm guessing is a glue.

I didn't glue mine but I can't see any reason why you couldn't or any reason why you would, really.
