I know it sounds daft but have you checked the fade between front and rear.

It has an image with four arrows, moving it towards the rear the sound drops to very faint

Saved around 2000 and went to an audio specialist, chosen mainly because they supply a flash drive with images of the installation

An man jumps in, twiddles with the settings and then says nothing wrong with it, which there now isn't

Apparently dolby option is not as good as the stereo option for getting sound from the rear speakers
