Bird bomb :-(

My otherwise immaculate XK8 suffered a triple bird-bomb strike earlier this week, from what must have been the most constipated fowl in Britain. As if that wasn't bad enough, it was the hottest day of the week and the cr*p was well and truly baked on by the time I got to it.

Despite my most careful removal, the clear coat has dulled and some fine scratches are visible. I've done my best with shampoo and Autoglym but it looks like a job for a professional.

Is this the sort of thing a mobile valeter or someone like ChipsAway can handle or should I find a decent bodyshop?

Go take your car for a MOP (Machine Operated Polisher) this takes a layer of lacquer and restores a good shine to your car. Give it a wash and a good wax afterwards.

Many thanks. Does anyone know of a suitably competent MOP operator in the West Midlands?
