Black Pillars and Trims

Make sure the PPF is the self healing type (I used Xpel Ultimate on b and c pillars). It actually worked quite well in alleviating the swirl issue and it really maintains the gloss black look without further hassle. Did it myself and the the b and c pillar forms were easy to cut to size. That being said, I tried to cover the d pillars but they have a bit of a complex curve to them. After the third failed attempt which may also be caused by being a little OCD (my wife says a lot OCD), I threw in the towel and now occasionally use polish compound with light pressure and foam applicator for 6-7 passes by hand and then a light pressure foam application of cleaner wax for 3 passes. This seems to clean them up pretty well. I really wish somebody sold self healing PPF pre-cut kits for b, c and d pillars......I'd buy the d pillars in a heartbeat.
