Have had the same thing since I bought my 2007 XK conv. 3 years ago. I don't think it's unusual as I've heard several instances on tis site. It's annoying, but for me has somehow become less regular over time. Turning off ignition and waiting until there's no supply to ancilliaries will typically clear it (not that I've ever had the time). Replacement of the unit is the only option, as far as I know. This would need to be a used unit, unless things have changed since I checked. Maybe there's people around fixing these things now, in the form of a repair? This might be your only hope.
