I had to take heads off and scrape pistons for hours with spoons and wire brushes to do a decoke.

Then RedEx came along.
Or someone told me about it.

Took the plugs out, put some in, left it half an hour, started up.

Lots of smoke, poured more into the carbs, loads more smoke.

When the smoke cleared... no coke on the piston top.

These days who would be brave enough to do that?

So this could be the next best and easiest treatment but what's the cost?

So how does this magic stuff get through the inlet track, turbo and EGR valve and then removed.
I'd definitely want to do a couple of oil changes after use if it's gone down past the piston compression/scraper oil rings :confused:

Terraclean is another decoke system. Not sure I'd like to take apart my fuel system on a Sunday morning to do it though.
