Brake caliper paint recommendations

I brush painted mine with bog standard Hammerite silver metal paint ...
Even though Hammerite specifically says that the paint is not designed for cars, in particular calipers, 6-7 or more years ago, I also hand-painted the calipers on the FIAT with the hammer finish dark grey. It went on smoothly and still looks great. The hammer finish probably covers up flaws in the substrate better. The smooth red could be harder to apply and have it look as uniform. I can't actually decide if red actually looks that good on my car. I would not have paid extra for it if I had speced the car new.

... Or yellow just to be different, that may be a step to far even for me...
Silver, black and yellow, that could be interesting and different ...

Don't encourage me! ;) Not this specific car but I have seen one just like it around where I live:

I do prefer the yellow to red with the silver body and black wheels ... If it was silver on silver, I would settle for red or possibly silver as I'm still not sure I really like red calipers. On a white car though, it needs the chrome and silver wheels to lift it and not make it look dull. Red is probably the better choice there.

Hmm, yeah I probably do like the yellow better, ...
Well, you are changing it for your own satisfaction so pick the colour you think looks best. It doesn't have to look stock/standard option; it just has to look good. Maybe you can quickly photoshop it and see.
