Any one got coilovers (ideally with pics) how do you get on with them?

You already have coilovers. Coilover is a term derived from the configuration of a coil spring over a damper, as opposed to leaf springs with dampers or indeed coil springs somewhere other than over the dampers as per Skoda Octavia etc.

I assume you mean those adjustable boy-racer things with an aluminium ring which screws up and down the damper body to vary the ride height, rather than a solid spring seat?

I think you'll find the standard set-up is known as a Mcpherson strut and not a coilover

Sorry steviedxt I was genuinely saying thanks I have no idea about this stuff lol.Thought it may be strange that a car like mine would come with what I know as coil overs. I like the idea of getting low but like the flexibility that coilovers offer.

I've just bought some lowering springs off a fellow forum member that'll drop mine by 35mm. I had coilovers on my last car, a TT, the ride was harsh but it was solid as a rock round corners.

IIRC mate they were G-Maxx, or something like that.

No I haven't mate. I'm not very well at the moment, but intend to do them as soon as I'm able.
