CREWE HALL HOTEL Sun 4th June 2023 XJ X351 "Gathering #2"

This is THE XJ X351 "Gathering #2" coming to fruition.
To be fair this was never meant to be, but, after comments from a few here n there, and a few requests I've decided to have another go.

I've organised and held many meets over the years, last count around 20+ and open to one and all, old cars, new cars, young and old, no matter.
We've had 15 car events, 20 car events and up to 60 cars at one Crieff event, along with goody bags, prizes and raffles worth £4k etc etc given away,

This planned bigger event is for the X351 only and hopefully we can make it one to remember, following on from last year. No frills, just a good ole car meet / lunch etc. The aim?
We all laugh and joke about the XJ X351 being thin on the ground ( hence the XJ X351 spotting thread ) Lets get a few together!

See last years event here CREWE HALL Sun 5th June 2022 XJ X351 meet event

I'd like to see if we can get 50 or more in the one place at the same time, more would be better still, a world record for them in one place at one time, other than at the factory lol.
A chance to meet members I've never met, see their cars, put faces to names and chalk that off the list.
The plan is to meet for lunch at Crewe Hall at 1pm, see address details / info below.

Meeting on site at 11am ( a little earlier if possible, but there for 12pm ) with lunch at 1pm
This allows time for parking and a little social gathering / banter etc before lunch
Assuming lunch will be an hour or so, with a little more craic to be had afterwards and people can get away from around 4pm or whatever suits.
Directly after lunch, we can organise the photo opportunity for the thread and possible magazine inclusion. This will be a better flow

Due to the success of last year, we're hoping for similar numbers or better

The size of the XJ X351 has been discussed many times, none more so that with the forthcoming meet event.
"Acreage" was one word used recently, as in, we need a lot of it lol.

Crewe Hall Hotel (somewhere Tress and I have stayed several times and know quite well) looked after us well last year and I see no reason why that shouldn't be the same again this year, plus I couldn't think of anywhere more centrally located within the Country, with ease of access for all.

The 17th Century mansion is more than spacious enough to meet all our needs and then some, we may even pick up some culture along the way, who knows.

Parking shouldn't be a problem. We have a specially designated car park for Jaguar XJ X351 ONLY

Although, generally speaking, they only offer cold buffet / sandwiches, they are putting on a carvery style lunch for us on the day, labelling it "Jaguar Club carvery"

The costs are £25.00 per head, payable in advance. I'll be in touch re payments best directly to bank account although Paypal may be an option

The facilities and grounds are awesome, lots to see and do for anyone that has a mind and generally a little bit more special and a good fit for the cars on the day, a really good fit.

29.12.2022 today and the gathering on 04th June 2023, so a little over 5 months away so everybody can get organised well in advance

Would love to see you all there in your X351's, could be quite good!

We now have most attendees fully paid up, places guaranteed on the day, thank you!
To secure your place, please make payment as soon as possible.

Crewe Hall hotel have been working with us and added to numbers available twice now, although we may still have to work on the car park issue / non issue
Working to organise a few bits n pieces that will add a flavour to the day, will hopefully finalise in the coming month or so, then update here.
Hopefully be an article in the Jag mags to help further promote this event, and more.......

Had a few calls / Whatsapps last night with checks and confirmations of attendance for the meet.

Email confirmation today from the MD at Jaguar Heritage confirming his attendance with the XJ Ring Taxi on the day.

Shame about the Hurricane Jag not being available, but their drive is always towards D-Day remembrance ( rightly so ) and this is just too close for them.

Sorted out the prize draw last night and even did a dummy run, Martyn, you didn't with the timing belt service prize, so unsure if that improves or lessens your chances on the actual day lol

also a 30 foot hose left out for any arrivals on Sat that want to titivate their wheels or whatever
Does that mean JimC64 is going to wash the Cornish mud from March off my car?

Err no, have enough trouble washing the dirt off mine these days.

Maybe as its special Cornish Theboys mud, we could scrape it off and add it to the prize draw :ROFLMAO:

Treat her TB...I'll ask them to leave the hose out a little longer.

Jamie and Mac both put on a good show, then turn up in some quite shiny cars, as we've seen before, been noted several times by Ashanti, Steve and others

Good news for me is that my cars all sorted and so can attend.
There was a possibility of turning up in the XF and parking round the corner or handing over the reins to you to sort out :)

It was too long for the carpark, so the nose had to sniff the undergrowth.
