It's not very often that I watch anything on television at all.

A quick glance at Emmerdale though brought a smile to my face.

Nice to see the bad guy of today in a choice motor of yesteryear :)

Hahaha, gave me a welcome laugh Eddie.

Jags have always been the "Wide Boys"' cars, the Mark 2 was the most popular ever.

I wonder what's today's most popular bad boy car, Porsche Cayenne perhaps?

I dunno, no "serious" crooks in my circle at the moment, for which I'm happy! ;)

Dull life, huh! Next life... Colombia! :)

Probably dates from the time that Met.plod ran a fleet of Mk2 saloons!

And then there was Morse! :)
RIP.
What a program. What an actor (the car aint bad either!). Got the whole lot on DVD. Can happily watch them all over and over, except one- The last episode. Seen it once, and don't want to watch it again.

I agree.

So...

Is there a modern typical Gangsta car?

Or is the Jag the definitive?

The Range Rover for the rish gangster, and Vauxhalls for pretend gangsters

And for the middle class Gansta - The Crysler 300c with heavily tinted windows all round !

The Jaaaagwar has always been a favourite for crooks and tough guys , long may it continue.

However , I can't really picture Arthur Daley or the Equalizer in anything after an X350

I prefer the Jag to be driven by someone like Morse. Driven by gangsters ruins the image of Jags.

One i forgot earlier. BMWs. Another gangster/ criminal car

Jaguar cars were a thing I believe in the 70s for bank robbers to use as getaway cars, and in a fair few 007 movies the bad guys had Jags (the XKR in the ice chase, the XJ in Casino Royale, the CX-75 in Spectre).

Go on YouTube and type in "Jaguar it's good to be bad" all bad guys drive Jaguars :D

Yeah its well known that thats the Jaguar tag line, with plenty of different people playing supposedly bad people (although not proven) in the adverts.

I still say its Range Rovers and BMWs.
