Hi all,
I took my car to a (non-Jag) mechanic for a minor repair, and when I got it back the driver's seat motor was not working. The mechanic doesn't know how it happened nor how to fix it. I am going to take it to my Jag-certified mechanic, in the meantime does anyone have any suggestions? Thanks!

Does anything on the seat work or is it all completely dead? Also, do you have memory seats?

Check fuses F15 30A and F18 30A both in the rear distribution box.

The most common cause for the seat motor to stop working is that someone moved it all the way to the end stop. The plastic end stops that are now quite old tend to get britle and brake, this makes the screw go over the and the motor jams.
In short you should never run the seat all the way to the end stop on these cars!
