adjust dimmer switch on steering column
Electrical lights gremlin
When I turn the ignition on, the dash lights work. However when I switch the headlights on, the dash lights go off. Any ideas?

sounds like a dodgy earth, have you looked at the condition of the ground points under the bonnet behind the headlights, dome head nuts holding black earth ring connectors, try cleaning these up and inspect the headlight bulbs.

I would have thought a dodgy earth as well ;-)
An update.
I removed fuses 5&7 which are for the BPM (Body Processor module) They were fine but by doing this seems to have solved the problem. It seems the car is having a hissy fit for not being driven for a couple of weeks. It showed a suspension fault the other day a couple of times which has now cleared. Thanks for the input.
