2006 XK Convertible 4.2 N.A., Indigo Blue over Ivory/Slate Blue
You must have been really unwell if you missed the X's birthday...I was a tad under the weather yesterday (after my COVID booster on Thursday)... it was hard work doing anything... and I even missed my X's birthday... https://www.jaguarforum.com/threads/birthday-jags.124918/post-1388745
I was a bit rough for a couple of days after my 2nd Pfizer, but my booster, which I had at the same time as my Flu jab, resulted in nothing. Nowt at all. It's really quite odd how some can have the jabs and have zero side effects, or very mild... and others can be wiped out for a couple of days. I know people who had none, some with mild effects, and others, like me, that have had it quite bad. Pleased at least that I know my body is doing something.
A wonderful addition to an already fantastic-looking weekend. Great work Mark, thank you.
Announcing our Sunday Drive and Lunch...
Following on from the plethora of activities on the Saturday... a chance for a lazy start to Sunday.
We depart from the hotel around 11am and head north east on the A590 towards Newby Bridge where we continue heading north on the A592 along the eastern bank of Lake Windermere and through the breathtaking Kirkstone Pass. Continuing on the A592 along the west bank of Ullswater before arriving at our lunch destination - the Inn on the Lake. This is a 30 mile drive, and will take about an hour.
The Kirkstone Pass is the highest major road in the Lake District, reaching a height of 1,489 feet (454 m) and offers unrivalled views of the surrounding area.
The Inn on the Lake is situated on the banks of Ullswater with gardens sweeping down to the lakeshore. Once parked, we can explore the grounds and breathtaking views over the lake before taking up our seats in the 2 AA Rosette "Lake View Restaurant" for a scrumptious 3-course lunch from 1.30pm.
Allowing for people to head homeward from around 3pm.
Thanks to @Ashanti for suggesting this venue. I hope you'll agree this will be a fitting culmination to what should be a fantastic Jaguar weekend at the Lakes.

OM flippin' G, as the kids say. You've now got a website?!?! This is absolutely brilliant work, Mark. And what started out as a hobby/pastime activity looks like it has definitely turned into work. Thank you. I'm sure many of us are not worthy of all this attention, (I probably am, though ).
Well, this's helped to pass an afternoon, and here are the votes from the Stoke-on-Trent jury:Many of us are driving considerable distances to meet up in the Lakes in April, and the growl of the V8 (or even just 6 cylinders) must get boring after a few miles.
I'll compile a list from your suggestions and Lake Trippers will then get a chance to vote for their favourites courtesy of some web wizardry on the Lakes website. From that we'll get our very own "Jaguars at the Lakes Top 40"

Sorry to read that you won't be going but, understandably, the Clark family have other priorities at the moment. All the best to Aston and the rest of you.I have an unfortunate announcement to make to everyone - the Clark family are no longer attending the Lakes this year sadly.
We had a chat about if over the weekend, and it seems the best thing for us. I have committed our family to quite a lot of work that has all come about at once, and is not helping, but the deciding factor is an unexpected operation that Aston needs next month. I should add that it's nothing to worry about, and Aston is fine - just something unexpected he now needs.
This event has been arranged so meticulously by Mark, and I know it is going to be absolutely fantastic for everyone. I wish everyone the most amazing time, and I shall look forward to seeing all the photographs!

I'm a little bit in awe of what's going on here, Mark. My little mind is struggling with all the excitement🤪. I'm off for skiing for a week on the 12th, then back for the Event of the Year, Jaguars At The Lakes. And all this after 2 years of near-stasis 🤯It's definitely getting real... my kitchen is filling up with boxes of 'stuff'... another load of boxes turned up today courtesy of Autoglym.
I'm wondering what's going to turn up next.
