We all hire cars occasionally whether it be holiday, business or as part of an insurance claim.

Have you ever wanted to hold onto it when it was due to go back.

This has happened to me twice.
The first time was in Florida where we went right down to Key West stopping off at Miami Beach for a few days. The car. A Ford Mustang Convertible.

The second time was today when I had to hand back the Volvo V90 I had through my insurance after my XF was written off last month.
Both me and the missus liked it so much it is now high on the list for a replacement vehicle.

Does the V90 have enough head room as you get in Jag75?

I banged my head on the forward pillar of the newer V70 and new V60 getting in, with the seat right back, and that was the end of Volvos for me although I loved my previous GL740, 850 and V70 p2.

Very sad, designed by shortarses for even more streamlining.

I’m just over six foot and had no problem, but yes I agree it’s more streamlined than previous Volvo estates but that’s not a bad thing as they used to get referred to as bricks on wheels.
It was the high spec that appealed to me, the model being the RDesign and had AWD it would make a good tow car which we need.
I have to say one thing I noted with the Jaguar was the poor quality of trim inside the boot area, it was more like that you would find in a regular eurobox whereas on both the BMW 520 and the Volvo V90 I’ve had recently the quality was first class, especially in the Volvo where there was gas struts to support the boot floor. Jaguar rely on a Velcro strip for this !

A good few years back, pre-financial funds diverter (daughter) I hired a Ferrari F430 for 4 days as a birthday treat, that was hard to hand back. I also had a Daimler Super V8 from a Jag specialist for 3 days whilst we were waiting for a drive shaft for my S-Type - that was also hard to hand back.

Nope. Never been there. Yes they can be nice, but they aren't usually what I would chose as a car I'd buy in the first place.

Very impressed with the Audi A6 that my lad has just acquired. Build quality is excellent.

I have rarely found a rental car to be of a specification that I would want. I remember only one a Lincoln, can't recall the exact model but it was pretty good, shame it got scratched but I didn't pay anything for that.
