Congratulations duncs, drove one and agree the 3.0d is an excellent choice. Not so sure about an all black interior but it's all personal choice and you're the one driving it.

Finally brought a XJ
Hi Guys,
Well after seeing the XJ at Goodwood last year, I've finally taken the plunge and brought a MY2011 XJ Portfolio (3.0 Diesel). Picked it up last Thursday
and I'm really pleased with it.
Managed to find a 12 months old car (looks & smells like new) that had loads of factory options in the right colour combination - Ultimate Black, Jet Black Interior, Carbon Fibre Trim, Black Roof Lining.
Options are: Adaptive Cruise, Advanced EBA, Blind Spot Monitor, DAB Radio, TV Tuner & Privacy Glass. (Be it I'm amazed at the standard spec)
Now just need to add Garage Door Opener, and if possible Rear Entertainment.
