Hi I’m Aaron I’m new to the forum and this is my first post.
I currently have a 2018 year XF R Sport D , it has parking sensors front and rear but I’d like to add the cameras. I have bought two genuine jaguar cameras and they look as if they just plug and play but I’ve checked online for days now to no avail as to how this is achieved or if I need to take it to jaguar to have done. I’m ok with a bit of diy myself but nothing to extreme , Any help is appreciated thank you.

I very much doubt they will plug and play. The car (CCF) needs to be told the cameras exist. Normally you need a module to control them as well.
The retrofit will be possible but I think more complex than you imagine. The dealer probably won't help with this if it isn't an official retrofit.
Have you checked to see if the wiring exists for the cameras?

Is it possible to post a picture of the camera?. It’s a genuine part for my car but it wasn’t in the factory installation spec. I can see the wiring through the front grille where it should be but I’m not sure about the back but it does have the sensors so I’m assuming the wiring loom should be there. I just wish they would have installation guides for people who would like to do it themselves. I don’t mind paying jaguar to update the software for recognising the cameras but the amount of money they want for fitting seems unrealistic.

Part number is - T4N3099

I'm surprised Jaguar gave you a price for fitting it at all. Were they aware your car came without the cameras?
If the wiring is already there, then your onto a winner. I still think you'll need a module of some description, maybe the newer jags utilise the parking aid module.

Plug it in and see what happens. I think you'll need some coding though to make it work.

You could look at this Company ( Unique Auto Development's) who supply an infotainment kit upgrade which includes a front and rear camera's but it's not cheap. Make sure that you look for the X260 2015/2021 XF
