[Old Duffer]

After much wasted time with a factory harness I gave up and bought a custom loom (thanks jostaffs) I have finally got my sat nav working. The last hurdle was the gps pick up I had it in the factory position but it would not pick up a signal I moved it to the parcel shelf after buying another and it works can anyone tell me why ? I don't understand why it would not work in the original position.
My second question is why the curser runs from top to bottom of the screen unlike my Garmin which the route goes from bottom to top of the screen. Not a massive deal but a little hard to get used to.

Hi the only suggestion I can offer is with regard to your second question.

You can select the map to orientate so your heading is shown at the top or so north is at the top. Change between the two by touching the 'compass' logo on the map. I wonder if yours is currently set for North at the top?
