It's not a Series One E type because that had a 3.8 litre lump, triple SU's and a Dynamo.

So I'd go for a Series 2 4.2 litre with twin SU's and an 11AC alternator.

The Cylinder Head "Holes" are all the same. They got the increased engine size by boring slightly "off centre" of the cylinder head. Which is why the 3.8 was a much "better" engine for tuning.

Not a lot of people know that.
