Head lights

I have been looking at the front of my car and have realised that my head lights aren't in the centre of the bumper/ bonnet 'holes' is there a way of adjusting this?

I had my headlights out a few weeks ago mate and as far as I can remember there is no adjustment in how they fit. They simply bolt straight on. And the bumper is located by 2 lugs either side and then bolted on. So how your lights ended up not central, is a bit of a mystery.

This is what I have at the moment, a finger gap on the left and tight to the paint on the right.

What's the other side like? Could be previous accident damage perhaps around the slam panel area. There is no adjustment as what's already been said for the fitment of the headlights. The bumper looks slightly off on the join to the wing.

Bumper been off previously and not clipped back into the wing properly?
Looks to me as if the Bumper is out of line, not the headlights
Hi Daniel,

Totally agree with Ian D about the Bumper being out of allignment,
in your photo the headlights seem to be in the right place with the
bonnet allignment.

Had my front bumper off again last week to fit HID Kit (replace
halogen headlights) and refitting the bumper is sometimes a bit
of a pain in the arse.

It locates into black plastic 'guides' bolted to the sides of the front
panel which have three locating lugs on the bumper and three slotted
locating places on the guide on each side of the car.

Once the bumper lugs are located into the slots in the guide, the
bumper will be fitted in its correct position. Then its just a case of
screwing in the the two bolts (one each side) to attach the bumper
to its side fixings, then the bolts near the headlight lenses and all
the bolts underneath and in the wheel arches !

At risk of derailing topic - what HID kit did you fit? and at what cost, if you don't mind me asking...
Just had a look at mine. - There the same, and mine hasn't had a shunt.
Has bumper been off your car G4GVB? Just because it hasn't been in a shunt doesnt mean the bumper hasn't been removed. It needs to come off for various work to under taken on the X-Type.
Its not been off that I know of.
