Another vote for the Osram Night Breakers, allied to a recent couple of hours with an Autoglym restoration kit and cordless drill. The kit had enough discs to do all four lights, and it’s made a huge difference to both light output and aesthetics.

I was talking to an MOT tester about this recently, and if they are reflector type headlights, where the bulbs aren’t visible, as long as the beam pattern meets requirements then they’re given the benefit of the doubt as far as the test is concerned.
They’re not allowed to remove any covers or caps to check what type of bulbs are fitted, so have no option but to pass it.
Still not technically legal, but should pass an MOT.
