Long, long story Steve. Technically fairly straightforward but quite complicated at the same time. I'll perhaps relate all in a separate thread in due course.

Great, it will be interesting to see what's involved.

Did you ever get the "see-round-corners" function working, or did you not bother?

It was one of xDave's, so of course it wasn't straightforward!

That's the one.
I wasn't going to break into the expensive headlight units I'd bought so opted for the plug-n-play adaptor harness. His wiring diagram was close but not completely correct and it took many tries to finally get it right.

Did you get the harness from jez, or from someone else?

She looks great John, nice car

When you can, might be an idea to add your car details into your signature like some of us have done, helps others see at a glance.

Look forward to catching up with you on the day at Crewe John

Yes, Jez. Sadly no longer with us. He died last year.

Very sad. I saw your announcement in "the other place". Without being too self-entered about it, I was lucky enough to get the boot mod from him in time.

Although I subsequently learned that you also need a permanent live feed.

Have I seen this car elsewhere, feel like I’m in a parallel universe … 😃

Yes, I too have one of those. He lived quite close to me and we got to know each other quite well. In fact it was my car he "experimented" with because we quickly learned that the XF boot closer didn't work (consistently) on the XJ.
It was after that, that he got involved with the headlight mod.
