How to replace distance sensor on front bumper?

XJ6D 2005. 2.7L. Faulty front outer sensor needs replacing....does it prise out? Looks as though I need to remove lots of stuff to get to it otherwise.

When I had the front bumper of my XJR to change the headlights, I had a look at the sensors.
It seems to me that you can only get them out with the bumper off...

Quick look in JTIS and the first step is "remove the bumper cover" sorry mate no easy fix.

But as you can see from that thread about the headlights, it can be done at home.
