I have just bought a 2008 Xkr convertible in silver - beautiful machine......

Having done my research I ensured my I pod would work with car, which it does. However it doesn't charge the iPod at the same time. Not sure why you would design it that way but does anyone know if it is possible to charge at the same time I.e. a different cable?

Apparently apple changed the charging pins in their later products so you need an adaptor and they recommend a scorche passport adaptor. I have
Looked on amazon and I'm not sure which one. You would think jaguar dealers would have a few in stock or at least send you a link to the exact one...

Ill call jaguar tomorrow to get the exact one and will update.

Gary have you asked to try the latest lead it worked for me after I got power to the plug in the armrest

All sorted now, apparently apple changed the charging pins on their newer devices - an adapter from amazon did the trick.
