Hi, I have just bought my F-type 2016, nice car but I havn´t any sounds...
Whith ignition on the vechicle the infotainment screen lights up but the functions, for example radio is "greyed out", no connection with gps etc.
And parking sensor don´t sound eighter. So all sounds are the issues :-(
Jaguar have install a new battery but it´s drain in two days as well.
The vehicle consumes around 2-3 amp when it sleep!
I have try to disconnect one fuse at time to find where the current dissapears. But I havn´t find a fuse that react on the high current.

I have bought a diagnos instrument (icarsoft) and read the faultcodes.
I find in the fuse box on the left side of engine when I pull out two fuses there are only metal conections in one hole
Se pictures
Can someone look in his car if it the same? look strange. And no loose cable inside the fusebox...
I will be so grateful if you can suggest on what I should do before I go to Jaguar!! :)

What does the fuse box map say those missing fuses are for?

Can you find the fuse for the amp and check that for your current draw.
I suspect that something in the audio system is causing all of your issues. Maybe the amp.

Welcome to the forum.
As you have just bought the car you should really take it back and tell them to fix it.
2-3 amps is a serious draw on the battery and needs to be investigated soonest.

Hi! F9 is the fuse upper in picture and 17 is the lower.
Another F-type owner has check his own vehicle and it look the same on his.

I have checked the optical loop (MOST) that goes between all units in the sound system, amplifier and a lot of other modules and the light come back again to the front screen unit again. which it should do but still error codes and no sounds :-/

I have now check the "MOST-ring" optical line between all components in media system and the signal come back again to main screen, thats is good.
Does this mean that all modules work as they should, or can there still be a fault on them?
I had hoped for an interruption to find the fault. But not.
Also tried to bypass (bypass) some modules i have found e.i amplifier etc.

I´m thinking if I have all modules in picture below.
I havn´t found 5 and 6. maybe that is option?
or anyone knows where it placed? MOST loop.png

Maybe you wont have number 5?
Have you located all the fuse boxes.
I'd say, just because the red light loops around, it doesn't mean that all the modules are ok.

I'd concentrate on the current draw and tracking it down. Find the fuse for your amp and pull it, does the draw disappear?
Some reading....

Hi!
I have found a fuse box in the back luggage se picture and if I pull the fuse to "Audio module" (if I remember right it was the fuse I marked with an arrow) the amp goes to close 0A. So there is some fault...
This module handle NAV, Bluetooth, CD etc so maybe that module/unit is broken.
I have just bought a used one on ebay so I will try this and hope it solve the problem.

As long as that is the only thing on that fuse then it is a good guess.
Always possible that something else is keeping it alive but a good start.
Good luck.
