Good morning everyone. I own a March 2020 2.0D XF and have read a lot about the timing chain being upgraded in late 2019. Does anyone know how I can check if it was fitted to my engine? Is there an engine number/ vin number available from when the alleged upgrade took place? Thanks for reading.

I suspect Jaguar know the engine number the change took place but will be unlikely to want to tell you. A Jag specialist might know (@whitfield348 ?). All I know is that it was November 2019, so if your car was built (not registered) before then you probably don't have the latest spec of chain, tensioners and sprocket.
