Hello wondering if any one can help me i have a 05 x type 2.0 diesel what happened the dash had to come out when it was plugged back in there was a mistake made the plugs from the remote climate control went in the instrument cluster and vice versa,i now have glow plug light flashing and the red oblong warning light had codes checked but it says no codes, car is currently revving with no restriction does not seem to be in limp mode,i am wandering if the fault is in the actual cluster lights with getting plugs wrong what do you think ?,also could any one tell me what sort of job it is to replace is it just plug and play, does it just take info from my ecu mileage etc or does car have to have new clock programmed to my car,any advice you can give me would be great thanks.

I would suggest it needs connecting to IDS to clear codes in all systems, and 'fingers crossed' 'all will be well'.
I would suggest you learn to spell and punctuate :(

I would say the same. Find a Jag Indie with the full Jaguar Diagnostic kit and get clocks reset to your car and the codes read and deleted. Any good indie will have the Jag kit.

If your suggestion would help fix my car it may have been helpful.

So said the poster who did not use a full stop to finish the sentence. ;-)
Finishing a sentence with an emotican instead of a full stop is as acceptable, these days, as giving the impression that you're either a lazy barsteward, or you never made it past P3.
Bad punctuation and spelling get my back up as well but I guess it's a sign of the times. Anyway, back on topic......

As a senior member i thought you would stick to the topic listed or maybe join another forum to discuss other things that get your back up.Discussing other members spelling and punctuation capabilities does not seem appropriate when we are meant to be giving and receiving car information......
But if you type in a way that makes your post difficult to read and/or understand, you're probably reducing the number of people who'll be willing or able to help.
If I see posts that are typed like that, 9 times out of 10 I don't even bother reading them. Help others to help you mate.

Hopefully most people that read my post will be able to work out what help i need and will be willing to pass their knowledge on and i thank them for this in advance. As for the very smart and the better educated than me amongst us namely the people who have decided to throw in their comments taking my topic down another road maybe they can think they are back in their old jobs as college professors or the likes and rectify the spelling and punctuation mistakes that seem to be putting peoples backs up thanks.
Is it not common courtesy, if you are seeking help from other members, to type as clearly and precisely as you possibly can? So that said members can understand what it is you need to know.

To be quite honest with your attitude i would rather you did not bother reading my post. Who the do you think you are making your suggestion to me which have nothing to do with cars.Either read the post and try and help or don't read it at all but also don't go out your way to try and be little people thanks MATE.
I appollogize for pointing out your lack of tiping spolling and grammer skills but forums are a nicer place to visit and offer help if the peeple who are asking for that help at the very least make their question easy to understand. if it looks like the person kneeding help can't be arsed why the hell shuld we be

Just let me finish this with a couple of suggestions for you. If someone bumps into you while walking just take a minute before you jump in to check if the person as a problem with his sight or any thing else for that matter, don't automatically as you put it think they just can't be arsed. One other thing from my son who is 18 and kindly typing this for me he suggests you also get someone to help you with your spelling.Hope this clears everything up between us i do not wish or need any more suggestions from you but thanks for the offer.
Sarcasm obviously goes right over your head as well then. Tell your son that I can spell and punctuate, thank you very much. ;)

never thought for one minute you could not.who could under estimate your super human powers.they are that strong it seems like you feel you have to let people know their lack of skills.don't see you offering much help in any other fields other than top of the class at your childish sarcasm stick with your bob the builder characters they seem very appropriate. Was thinking of putting a little face at the end but my son advised me it is a bit childish a bet that goes over your head too.
Apologies if the post that was here before this one was read by alto or anyone else. I've had a bad day
Glad i got through to you in the end and your arrogance and sarcasm has subsided always nice to see the smart ones revert to words and names like tosser. You just cant stop showing us your very, very educated vocabulary.Good night time for my bed and you too don't want to be that late you may miss play time with bob the builder. Finally don't forget it was you that felt like you needed to insult my intelligence without asking politely was there a reason for my bad spelling and grammar.
