Usual problem, the original clips have rusted away. I can't find any replacement clips, they seem to only be supplied with new hoses. Does anyone know the size I need? Also, I have found some on fleebay that have a weird sort of spring built into the band, any idea what that's for?

Normal heavy duty stainless clips are fine for the job can get a good tightness with a ratchet and you need two sizes think 54mm and 64mm if my memory is correct

Yes the ones nearest the turbo smaller than the intercooler ones also I’d double clip them where possible

I have problems finding a replacement r spring hose clip rather than a screw-type one, so I know what you mean. I took a punt on a part number for one I found online (see pic) but no go. So old one had to go back on...

I definitely wouldn't use those... As Nick says, you need good quality, proper Jubilee clips, preferably stainless and (if you can source them) with rolled edge bands so sharp edges dont bite into the hoses.
