Just a quick question, is the diff on a 3.0 V6 Sovereign a limited slip one?

The acid test used to be to elevate both rear wheels and if they spin in the same direction you have a LSD
If the offside wheel turns in the opposite direction then you don't have one
No LSD’s on the x350 lineup I’m afraid, Quaife do one but it’s quite a hefty price.
There is a 'sort' of limited slip action in the Dynamic Stability Control which applies differential braking to the spinning wheel; however at the same time it also closes the throttle almost to zero, so you loose all your acceleration.
Thanks just wondered, someone thought they were and I didn't!

that one's a bit of a fallacy I'm afraid. it only works with some diffs

And no, the last Jaguar fitted with LSD was X300 XJR manual transnission

Couldn't argue with you Woody I remember the old mechanics doing it when I was a kid
The 550 bhp X351 XJR has a motor controlled active differential.

Absolutely, that sort of thing is required now so as not to interfere with DSC, etc
